Intertwined Review

Few AVNs generate the sheer volume of chatter that Intertwined does. Nyx Valeria’s long-running high-school harem drama has racked up an enormous thread on its home forum, and after sitting with Season 1’s build 0.15.5, it’s easy to see why players keep coming back even as they argue about where the story is headed.

The setup is familiar territory for the genre: a male protagonist navigating school life, a track team subplot, and a widening circle of women whose feelings for him range from budding romance to open hostility. What sets Intertwined apart is scale. Layla, Elena, Dani, Gabi, and Adriana all get meaningful screen time, and the writing leans hard into the messy overlap between them rather than compartmentalizing each route. That’s most visible in the Elena/Layla dynamic — Elena won’t let herself pursue the MC because, as one forum regular put it, she “knows that becoming MC’s girlfriend would only hurt Layla more.” It’s a soap-opera knot, and reactions in the community are split: some find it a compelling slow burn, others are openly exasperated, with one player summing up years of pent-up frustration as “an impossible situation.”

The other lightning rod is Darryl, the track-team rival whose arc toward decency keeps stalling out. Players have watched him have a “human being for a second” during a pre-relay heart-to-heart, only to revert to form soon after — one commenter flatly called him “asshole and future sex offender” material by the next episode. It’s clear Nyx Valeria wants an antagonist redemption thread here, but the thread’s own readers aren’t convinced it’s landing, and the back-and-forth pacing is the single most-repeated complaint in recent pages.

Where Intertwined doesn’t get argued about is presentation. The 3DCG artwork is a consistent high point across the thread, with fans routinely posting favorite renders — the “Muscle Mommy” scenes in particular get called out again and again as some of the best material in the build. Animation work is used sparingly but effectively, and the character models hold up well across the game’s large cast.

Content-wise, this is very much an ensemble harem game rather than a tight single-heroine romance: expect teasing, groping, and stripping scenes building toward full sex scenes gated behind relationship progress, alongside cheating and voyeurism threads that run through the school-setting drama. The tag list (milf, exhibitionism, male-domination among them) signals a game unafraid to lean into messier, more explicit territory than a straightforward dating sim.

Because no aggregate community score was available at review time, this rating is derived from forum sentiment: strong enthusiasm for the art, cast size, and season-to-season momentum, balanced against real frustration with pacing decisions around Darryl and Elena. For newcomers, be warned — with well over 3,500 forum pages of backstory, jumping in mid-season takes some catching up.
