Spirit Lover v0.55 Released
Shousaka94’s long-running 3DCG fantasy harem adventure Spirit Lover has landed its v0.55 update, available now across Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android. The release dropped on May 17th and marks another steady step forward for a game that has quietly built a devoted following through consistent updates and a lighter, humor-forward tone unusual in the adult visual novel space.
The premise puts a male protagonist alongside a supernatural spirit companion whose arrival reshapes his school life — and his relationships — in increasingly chaotic ways. Spirit Lover leans into parody and comedy as much as it does romance, which gives it a distinct energy compared to the more earnest harem titles it sits alongside. The twin characters, in particular, have become a fan favourite thread running through the game’s branching routes.
Version 0.55 continues expanding the existing route structure with new animated scenes covering the harem cast, additional story beats, and continued development of the school and fantasy settings that give the game its dual identity. Animated 3DCG has been a consistent highlight throughout Spirit Lover’s development, and this update maintains that standard with fresh sequences and the usual round of bug fixes and refinements.
Multi-platform support has been a feature of Spirit Lover since early in development. The Android build ships simultaneously with desktop versions — something genuinely appreciated by mobile players who too often find themselves waiting for belated ports, or missing them entirely.
