REC v0.5.4.10 Released
REC, moondev’s long-running AI-assisted RPG, has been updated to v0.5.4.10. The patch is a focused content pass rather than a major story arc, but it targets one of the game’s core relationship threads directly.
The changelog highlights a specific fix to scene pacing around one of the game’s main characters:
“Adjusted Yuna healing Pre/Post 60 Relationship scene”
For a game structured heavily around relationship thresholds — where scenes unlock and evolve as affection levels climb — this kind of tuning matters more than it looks on paper. Players sitting near the 60-point mark with Yuna will notice the healing scene now reads differently before and after crossing that threshold, tightening up a transition that previously felt abrupt.
REC continues to lean on its 2DCG art pipeline with AI-assisted composition, paired with an internal-view perspective during scenes and a first-person POV framing that’s become one of the title’s signature touches. The RPG shell wraps around a simulator loop, with content spanning oral, anal, vaginal, and darker corruption-adjacent themes including sleep-sex and rape scenarios, so the usual content warnings apply.
The build remains available on Windows and Android, keeping mobile players in step with the desktop release rather than trailing behind on an older version — a detail worth noting given how many AVNs let their Android ports lag.
No new areas or characters are called out in this pass; it’s a refinement update aimed at existing content rather than an expansion. For ongoing players, it’s worth grabbing the update if Yuna’s route is one you’re actively working through.
