Phone Story v0.18.0 Released

By MaC

Taptus has pushed Phone Story v0.18.0 Public, the latest update to their smartphone-format adult visual novel. The build is available now for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android.

The headline addition this cycle targets the NTR (netorare) branch specifically. Per the developer’s own notes, new story context in v0.18.0 has been added ”!!!ONLY!!! for the NTR branch” — a deliberate scoping decision that keeps the game’s divergent routes feeling distinct. Players following other paths won’t see padding; players on the NTR route get meaningful new material.

Phone Story’s distinguishing hook is its presentation layer. Rather than a traditional VN interface, the whole game plays out through a simulated smartphone — text threads, media shares, and calls that unfold the way a real relationship actually lives. It’s a format that suits the game’s themes well: romance, cheating, and the slow creep of corruption feel more tactile when they’re delivered through something that looks like your own lock screen.

The AI-CG art keeps the project looking polished for its scale, and the multi-platform release including Android makes it one of the more accessible titles in the space. At v0.18.0, this is a project with real development history behind it — each update methodically building out the branching story one route at a time.

With the NTR branch refreshed, it’s a good point of entry for players who have been waiting for more content on that path before jumping back in.
