Fate Won't Separate Us v0.8a Released

By MaC

Fate Won’t Separate Us has been updated to v0.8a, a follow-up build to the 0.8 release from Raising Phallus that lands on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android at the same time.

The headline change this round isn’t story content — it’s weight. The developer ran a compression pass over the game’s assets, cutting the size of the package significantly for anyone downloading fresh or grabbing the update over a metered connection.

“Now your download quota will be f*cked a slightly less.”

That’s the developer’s own summary in the release notes, and for a 3DCG project that has been accumulating rendered scenes across eight major versions, the trim is overdue. Android players in particular benefit, since the mobile build has historically been the most painful one to pull down.

For newcomers, Fate Won’t Separate Us sits firmly in the NTR corner of the genre. It’s a 3DCG visual novel built around a relationship put under pressure, with corruption and cheating routes branching toward multiple endings — plus a horror streak and a vein of humor that keeps it from being unrelentingly grim. Content spans exhibitionism, group scenes, female domination and swinging, so it’s not a subtle read.

The “a” revision suffix suggests a maintenance pass on top of 0.8 rather than a fresh content drop, so if you already finished the 0.8 material, this is a quality-of-life upgrade rather than a reason to reinstall — unless the smaller footprint is what you were waiting for.

v0.8a is available now on all four platforms.
