Corruption of Champions II cover

Corruption of Champions II has reached version 0.8.38, with Savin and Salamander Studios keeping up the regular update pace that has characterised the beloved text-based fantasy RPG throughout 2026.

The most visible change in this build is a stat rename: a previously ambiguously-named attribute has been rebranded Pent Up to better convey its function to players. The developers note it had been causing confusion, and the new name should make its mechanical role immediately clearer. For players running Silly Mode, the same stat gets the label “Submissive and Breedable” — one of CoC II’s trademark bits of self-aware humour. The update also adjusts the perspective on certain scenes, shifting the narrative viewpoint on select encounters for improved presentation.

For the uninitiated, Corruption of Champions II is the sequel to Fenoxo’s landmark browser RPG, now developed by Savin’s Salamander Studios. Players build a customisable champion and venture into a demon-corrupted continent populated by monsters, transformations, and a sprawling cast of romanceable companions. Its text-first format is backed by high-quality commissioned 2D art, with new scenes and routes added steadily across each build.

Version 0.8.38 marks eight consecutive point updates since our last coverage at v0.8.30, a sign of healthy development momentum. Each build in this run has brought balance refinements, expanded companion dialogue, and backer-driven feedback addressed in short order. The game remains one of the most actively maintained titles in the adult RPG space, and this release is no exception.
