A Lot of Ways v0.2.0 Released
A Lot of Ways, LLL Studios’ dating sim built around a day-by-day schedule and funds tracker, has pushed out v0.2.0 — and this update is less about new content than fixing a problem that’s been quietly bloating the game since launch.
The developer discovered that every “second-encounter” scene in the game — including ones carried over from the previous version — had been shipping at up to fourteen times the resolution and bitrate used by the rest of the game. That’s a significant encoding oversight, and LLL Studios used this release to correct it across the board:
“Every second-encounter scene in the game, including the ones from the previous version, was shipping at up to fourteen times the resolution and bitrate the rest of the game uses. All 55 clips have been brought in line with the existing standard. The download is roughly 890 MB smaller and no scene was shortened.”
That’s a meaningful fix for anyone who’s been sitting through slow downloads for content that looked no better than the rest of the game — 55 clips re-encoded and nearly a gigabyte trimmed off the install size, with the developer explicitly noting no footage was cut in the process.
A Lot of Ways centers on a dashboard-driven structure that tracks day, time, and funds at a glance, with a tag list touching corruption, harem, and netorare threads alongside its dating-sim core. The game uses real-porn footage rather than illustrated CG, which makes the resolution/bitrate cleanup especially relevant — these are the scenes players are actually watching.
