A Debt Paid v0.34 Released

By MaC

CandySH has pushed out A Debt Paid Chapter 1 v0.34, and it’s a bigger update than the version number suggests — the developer has torn out the game’s original relationship system and replaced it with something more granular.

Previously, the MC’s bond with his girlfriend was tracked through a single relationship status. That’s gone now, split into two separate stats that track each character independently:

“REWORK - Relationship status between MC and his GF were removed (You can still find bits of it in the code but they are mostly irrelevant). These stats were replaced by ‘Corruption’ for Girlfriend and ‘Dignity’ for MC. You can find an explanation about what these do inside the game under the ‘Preferences’ Menu point.”

Splitting the meter this way gives the corruption-focused narrative more room to breathe — the girlfriend’s descent and the MC’s own arc no longer have to move in lockstep on a single shared number. Players jumping back in after a break should check the in-game Preferences menu, where the new mechanic is explained in full, since old save behavior tied to the previous system may read differently under the new stats.

A Debt Paid is a 3DCG visual novel following a college student navigating debt, temptation, and a crumbling relationship, with sandbox-style exploration and a heavy emphasis on corruption and netorare themes. It’s available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android.
